Expansion


Any new team wishing to compete in the Sunburst League shall adhere to the following process:

  1. Any new team shall be required to submit an application package via email to the League President. Prior contact should be done ahead of time prior to application submission.
  2. Any new team application shall consist of the following:

    • Proposed team location.
    • Proposed team branding.
    • Proposed team structure/staff.
    • Proposed operating budget.
    • Letter confirming adequate diamond availability from their local operator.
    • A $250 non-refundable application fee, payable upon submission.
  3. Any new team application shall be voted on in a manner consistent with the bylaws of the society.
  4. Any new team that is accepted into the Sunburst League shall be admitted as a conditional member for a period of one year.
  5. Any team that has completed their one-year probationary period shall be admitted as a full member, provided they meet all financial and scheduling obligations.
  6. Any team that is accepted shall be required to fulfill the following financial obligations:
    • A $500 non-refundable new team fee, payable upon acceptance.
    • A $1000 performance bond, payable upon acceptance. Should the team be admitted as a full member, the performance bond shall stand as their league fees for their second season.
    • A $1000 Sunburst League fee, payable annually.
    • A $50 Baseball Alberta fee, payable annually.
